  • Hardware TechnicianHardware Technician OverviewIn this role, you will work onsite at one of our global clients to assist with the requisition and deployment of technology including servers, blades, enclosures and storage. We help our client improve their service levels, reduce capital expense and deal with the rising costs of bandwidth, staff and expertise.Essential Duties and Responsibilities* Establish influential partnerships with proximity teams, internal teams, and vendors regarding shipments.* Assist with the procurement process for new equipment.* Receive computer equipment shipments and inspect contents according to established processes.* Configure equipment according to client’s specifications* Assisting with inventory * Working with sales operations around managing current inventory as well as incoming shipments to limited space in UK.* Manage inventory closely, ensuring reconciliation of purchased and deployed equipment and providing required reporting.* Assist in our custom client portal requests including managing and receiving shipments in the portal.* Ensure that the staging area and storage room are prepared and available. Coordinate delivery activities with client.* Coordinate equipment setup and configuration. Coordinate the scheduling of equipment setup and configuration across multiple teams.* Ensure that all required equipment and accessories are labeled and packed according to standard guidelines* Develop expertise in all OEM products, software that the customer (LSEG) purchases.* Responsible for timely and accurate support within our established turnaround time guidelines which include, but not limited to receiving shipments, configuring equipment, and handing over equipment.* Develop and maintain process documentation which include, but not limited to receiving equipment, our custom client portal tasks, when space constraints occur.* Understand the customer’s key drivers from both business and IT perspectives and develop relevant solutions to meet customer needs.* Updates job knowledge by studying new product standards; participating in educational opportunities.* Excellent organization and time management skills a must.Qualifications* At least 2 years of related technology experience and knowledge of data center technology.* HPE and Dell server certification desired, but not required* Desire to deliver superior customer service* Extremely detail oriented, able to manage and prioritize client’s needs.* Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively in a team environment and build effective working relations with clients, colleagues, and vendors.* A strong sense of responsibility and reliability to complete job in the time required.* Ability to work flexible hours when needed to meet business requirements.* Strong ability to assess requirements, initiate and complete task or project with little or no guidance.Education* Associate’s degree in Computer Science preferred
