Contract to start ASAP until 14-01-22 with a possible extension.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions you may be required to work from various locations including home working. You will be provided with all the necessary equipment to do this.

JOB PURPOSE:

The main purposes of the job are: -

To support the management and development of a sub-regional Gypsy Traveller team and associated sites across Cheshire. To ensure that local performance targets are met and service standards are adhered to.

Support the senior GTLO in effective management of the client/partnership owned sites for Gypsy and Travellers. This will include ensuring Health and Safety Regulations are met and allocation of pitches and breaches of licence are dealt with in accordance with the adopted policies and procedures and the financial management of the sites is in order.

Manage the client/partnership approach to dealing with Gypsy & Traveller unauthorised encampments and the associated communication strategy.

To work with residents living on the sites to set up residents’ groups, linking in with a variety of organisations to support Gypsies and Travellers living on the sites. Ensuring that their needs are listened to and, where appropriate, met.
