We’re looking for a Senior Internal Auditor to join our Group Risk and Internal Audit team to provide independent, objective assurance and consulting services designed to add value and improve Kier’s operations.

Location: Flexible on location with hybrid/agile working available
Contract: Permanent, full-time

Responsibilities

Reporting into our Group Senior Internal Audit Manager, you will conduct operational and financial internal audits across the Kier business to include scope, planning and analysis of data for audits and preparation of audit reports. You’ll liaise with action owners to understand progress on actions and provide insight into areas of risk and governance to inform the internal audit plan. This role will also involve assisting the Group Risk team with risk workshops and making recommendations on continuous improvement initiatives.

This profile is not exhaustive. From time to time, you may be required by the company to perform other tasks, which are not included in the above description, but are within your capabilities and, where necessary, training and full support will be given.

Who are we looking for?

A self-starter with extensive relevant experience within an internal audit or external audit environment. You’ll be degree qualified or hold a professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CIA. Demonstrable practical knowledge of internal audit standards and techniques is required and you’ll have effective report writing ability and an analytical mindset. You’ll also have proficiency with MS applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and this role involves building positive relationships with a diverse set of stakeholders
