Responsible for delivering a proactive HR strategy resulting in improved performance to drive customer excellence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work in partnership with managers across the group to support development, engagement and training, to retain good people to achieve Company objectives.
- Provide advice and guidance to Managers across the group on Employee Relations issues, HR processes and policies in line with relevant Employment Law.
- Work with managers to best understand resource requirements in relation to attraction, recruitment, selection and retention activities with a localised approach to delivery for each site.
- Overall management of performance management, career development, training and development for retention of staff.
- Management of long and short-term absence cases.
- Build tools and processes to deliver skills based training and information for managers on people management related aspects to current legislation.
- Management of all systems, processes and documentation in relation to employee throughout their employment from induction, training and development to leaving the company. All managed in compliance with GDPR.
- Advise, support and guide Managers in dealing with all Employee Relations issues, including; absence management, investigations, disciplinaries, grievances and dismissals in line with relevant Employment Law.
- Delivery of Glazerite engagement strategy in accordance with the Company’s Vision, Mission and Values, through employee communications, including business, operational, well being and mental health.
- Ensuring all legislative requirements are met and HR best practice is firmly established.
- Review and management of employee reward and benefits systems and approaches.
- Build and maintain strong productive relationships at all levels across the group.
- Other duties as reasonably required by the Company to fulfill the role.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively via email, telephone, face to face and letters.
- Ability to listen effectively.
- High attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy.
- Highly organised approach to work.
- Ability to work confidentially and handle sensitive information appropriately.
EXPERIENCE
- In depth knowledge of HR practices and UK employment legislation is required.
- Previous experience of working within an HR Manager role is preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· CIPD Level 5 accreditation or equivalent qualification is essential.
