Our client is a highly innovative, globally significant market leader in the development and production of semiconductor technology. This product is rapidly being adopted by a growing base of global companies across the consumer goods, retail, healthcare, pharmaceutical, gaming and security sectors. The company has a Blue Chip investor base and recently completed a highly successful Series C funding round, providing the capital to continue on its impressive growth trajectory.

As the business continues to scale up, a highly experienced CFO has joined to help further develop a best practice finance function and this has led to the creation of a Group Financial Controller position. The Group Financial Controller will be tasked with leading, developing and growing a highly talented global finance team, working with the CFO to plan, monitor and manage the financial progress of the business.

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with extensive finance experience, covering financial control, reporting, planning and cash management. They will have a strong background in technical accounting, as well as being a commercially aware leader with a business-enabling mindset and a positive attitude. Proven experience leading teams in complex and fast paced environments is essential and candidates should be hands on, but with the commercial and strategic ability to grow with the business, in what is expected to be a dramatic scale up in the mid-term. Excellent communication skills are extremely important as this individual needs to build strong, open and transparent relationships across both the business and with key external partners. A strong understanding of IFRS and technical accounting principles is a pre-requisite, with prior experience of supporting a business through an exit or IPO also being advantageous.
