Job Title: Group Accountant

Salary: c£45K + Benefits

Location: Elland (hybrid and flexible working offered)

We’re very excited to be recruiting for a Group Accountant to join a high growth, market leading, innovative manufacturing SME based in Elland.

This role would ideally suit a driven Accountant looking for fast tracked career opportunities in a high calibre finance team, working for a forward thinking, innovative and high growth business passionate about the personal and professional development of all their employees offering a very clear career trajectory.

The Role

This is a fantastic, well rounded and diverse role, and as Financial Accountant you’ll be working closely with the Financial Controller and Finance Director and have responsibility for the Financial Control of the business. This is an autonomous role in which they want someone to work proactively with the business and wider stakeholder group to support the business needs through efficiency financial delivery of projects, reviewing financial transactions and risk, and drive continuous improvement and value add to support the wider business needs and strategy.

Typical duties within this role will include, but are my no means limited to:
  • Ownership of the month end process and production of management accounts, budgets, quarterly forecasting and managing the working capital and capex.
  • Monthly balance sheet recs and close down, and the re-evaluation of debtors and creditors to ensure accurate exchange rates at period end.
  • Preparing weekly cashflow statements and controlling expenditure to ensure an efficient cash flow.
  • Work closely with external stakeholders as well as internal e.g. auditors, bank, advisors etc.
  • Work with the wider finance team to ensure the completion of the statutory accounts, year end reporting and audit.
  • Reporting to Group Treasury on a regular basis.
  • Completion of VAT returns and corporation tax
  • Ad hoc projects to drive continuous improvement and meet the needs of the business
Salary & Benefits
