The Role

Working from home for 3-4 days per week, but offering an amazing working environment with some of the nicest offices in the county, based in Witney, the Group Accountant will be responsible for undertaking and managing financial reporting activities, with a specific focus on holding companies and group reporting. The Group Accountant will also be responsible for tax compliance and the integrity of the General Ledger.

My client has achieved great success, growth and expansion, with offices in Witney, London and Boston (US), so you’ll gain experience in group multi-currency consolidations as well as external reporting under IFRS. A high-volume business, you’ll be working in a technically-enabled environment, where you’ll get to work with Microsoft Dynamics 365, as well as working with Power BI and using SQL scripts and Power Query. If you’re looking for career development, you’ll be working within a wider finance team of c. 20 people, with the path in place to enable you to progress to Assistant Financial Controller.

What experience does the Group Accountant need?

  • Practice experience (ACA or ACCA qualified) is a must for this one, so that you have the depth of experience to be able to deal with a changing workload and all the elements of an Accountant’s duties
  • Solid financial reporting skills – monthly consolidated P&L, Balance Sheet, Cashflow, etc.
  • Familiarity with external reporting under IFRS
  • Experience of FX / multi-currency consolidations
  • Strong technical skills with advanced Excel and SQL scripting abilities. Experience of Microsoft Dynamics AX2012 and/or 365 would be an advantage
