Red Sky Personnel are recruiting for Multi-functional Ground Operations Agent at Heathrow Airport. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates looking for a permanent role with British Airways.
Responsibilities
Ground Operations Agents have the day to day responsibility for delivery of Turnaround activities for the below wing operation, including delivery of the baggage handling operation at LHR including baggage build and supporting other key baggage tasks
- Transfer luggage from check-in areas to departure areas
- Move luggage to and from aircraft holds using trucks, cargo loaders and conveyor systems
- Load and unload luggage within luggage halls
- Stay vigilant and report baggage that’s damaged or suspicious
- Ensure that the best possible customer service is applied in handling of customers and ensure highly professional communication to staff and crews, being responsive to their needs
- Shift Patterns
- You will work an average of 37.5 hours a week
- Shifts are 8.5 hours a day including a 30 minute unpaid meal break on a 7 days on 3 days off or 7 days on 4 days off patten.
- The shifts start from 0430 and finish by 0030.
- Due to the nature of the position, you are expected to be flexible with your availability to work as shift times and patterns may change in order to support the operations.
Salary
In the region of £25,500 including shift pay (basic salary £20,024 per annum)

Person Specification
- A full UK, manual driving licence with no more than 3 points
- Although full training is provided, previous manual handling and team work experience is desirable
- Have a zero tolerance approach to security
- Good attention to detail and a meticulous approach to your work
- Must be hardworking and reliable with an excellent work ethic
- Have no unspent criminal convictions - If you are successful at interview, you will be required to apply for a Criminal Record Check
Requirements
Due to the location of work being at the airport you must qualify. Therefore, you will need to be able to provide the following information:
- 5-year checkable history (employment, self-employment, education or benefit claim)
- 3-year UK address history
- Eligibility to work in UK (UK Passport, EU Passport, Non-EU Passport & Visa, Biometric Residence Permit, UK Birth Certificate & (British citizens only)
- Provide proof of National Insurance
- Provide proof of address dated within the last 3mths (utility bill, bank statement, HMRC Letter)
