Job Description

DISCOUNT VEHICLE LETTERING COMPANY are specialist sign makers to the motor trade and car manufacturers. We are looking for a full-time Graphic Designer / Sign Maker to join our friendly, customer focused team in our Washington premises. We are looking for someone who is reliable, punctual, and willing to learn. This position will be responsible for designing vehicle graphics and showroom / forecourt point of sale products along with some fitting of vehicle graphics to cars and vans.

Duties Include:

  • Designing vehicle graphics
  • Designing forecourt signage
  • Designing showroom point of sale products
  • Designing our own marketing campaigns & promotions
  • In summary the design work is a variety of 40 different items of POS plus dry wipe boards, commercial signage, commercial vehicle wraps
  • Answering the telephone and taking down customer’s brief
  • Giving advice on products and brand compliancy
  • Quality control of jobs before going through to production
  • Emailing customers design proofs
  • Fitting of vehicle graphics and signage substrates in production facility
  • And other day to day duties

Experience Required:

Must have experience in:

  • Graphic design
  • Experience and an understanding of large format print
  • Using either Adobe, Signlab or equivalent software
  • The fitting of vehicle graphics / signage substrates
  • Customer interaction by email, phone and in person
  • The use and purpose of POS products
  • Problem solving

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £25,000.00-£27,500.00 per year

Experience:

  • Graphic design: 2 years (required)
  • Vehicle Graphic Fitting: 1 year (required)
  • Working in the sign making industry: 2 years (required)
