Main purpose of role:

Responsible for creating original and brand enhancing graphic design solutions that are aligned to the firm’s brand identity. Work with internal and external clients to understand their needs and create a consistent ‘on-brand’ experience to meets their objectives.

Responsible for the adherence to the firm’s corporate identity and help educate and enforce the visual identity to all internal and external stakeholders.

Budgetary / financial responsibility:
Required to work within a given budget and manage the design, image and print costs subject to the department/sector requirements. Source competitive quotes to stakeholders in order to facilitate this.

Key relationships:

  • Internal –BD team, all partners, business services teams, Intelligent Office, Overseas offices, PSLs
  • External – Freelance designers, Brand/design agencies, Photographers, Video production, Print agencies

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop multiple design projects for internal and external use from concept through to completion.
  • Provide guidance on and help enforce best practice use of the firm’s visual identity.
  • Management of brand assets; photography, imagery, graphics, printing, video production and of external suppliers who produce branded communications for the firm.
  • Develop strong working relationships with other members of the support and legal teams to provide best creative solutions for business development materials.
  • Responsible for managing own workload, reporting directly to the Head of Design for work allocation and report on progress.
  • Learn and develop new and existing skills in order to fulfil and progress role’s expertise.
  • To take briefs from key stakeholders and challenge and improve where appropriate.
  • Stay up-to-date with current industry trends.
  • Prioritise workload and work within time/budget constraints.
  • Day to day management of the design process that includes filing, archiving and general housekeeping.

Qualifications


Role specific knowledge:

Requirements

  • Experience designing across multi media platforms
  • The ability to manage multiple projects within budget and time constraints.
  • The ability to take a brief from clients face to face and remotely.
  • Be able to work with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Think creatively and deliver concepts.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders to produce on-brand collateral.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.

Technical

  • Strong knowledge of Adobe CS suite and associated industry standard software.
  • Photographic and video production skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Experience of print, the print industry and repro in general.
  • Experience of image retouching and manipulation
  • Experience of design for print and digital.
