Graduate Teaching Assistant/ Grad TA role

A thriving secondary school is now looking for an enthusiastic graduate teaching assistant to contribute to the positive development and maintenance of their nurturing learning environment.

Salary: Grade 3 (Inner London): £70 - £80

Location

London

Contract: Long-term supply

Starting: September 2021

A central team in place solely dedicated to dealing with all behaviour issues, non-completion of homework, phone-calls and detentions to make sure that teachers are as free as possible to do the three things that matter most: mark, plan and teach.

The Role

Would suit an enthusiastic and energetic individual who wants to make a valuable contribution in transforming education for secondary school students.

Supervise and provide particular support for identified students on a 1:1 basis, in a group or supporting a whole classroom

To assist in the development of schemes of work and teaching strategies, working with the teacher to ensure the provision supports each identified student’s learning needs.

To assist in evaluating identified students’ progress through agreed assessment activities.

To provide detailed and regular feedback to teachers on students’ achievement, progress and needs.

To lead small group sessions and interventions as appropriate.

To attend to the students’ personal needs where required, and implement related personal programmes, including social, health, physical, hygiene, first aid and welfare matters.
