We are currently working with an SEMH Alternative Provision in Harrogate, North Yorkshire who are looking to recruit Graduate Teaching Assistants to support pupils (Ages 11-16) with Social, Emotional, Mental Health needs, who have been excluded from mainstream schools.

The role is full-time working Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 16:00 and you will be required to support Class Teachers, this will be in full class settings, as well as 1:1 with individual students.

Responsibilities:
  • Support students with challenging behaviour
  • Build positive and progressive relationship with students and staff
  • Support students with their studies and wellbeing
  • Restrain students when and were appropriate using correct guidelines and following full training
You will need:
  • Patience and a very understanding nature
  • Resilience and high levels of enthusiasm
  • Ability to remain positive
  • Experience of supporting young adults
