Overview:
Do you want to work for a multi-award winning property and construction consultancy where you will be helping clients reduce their carbon footprint on exciting projects across multiple sectors?

Ridge and Partners LLP is seeking a Graduate Sustainability Consultant to join our growing Sustainability Team (currently a team of 4 based in our Winchester office), to work on some of the UK’s most exciting construction projects. The team provide a range of services in the Sustainability space both direct to Client organisations, external Consultant teams, Contractors, as well as to our own Ridge multi-disciplinary projects. You will be involved in developing, governing and delivering sustainability strategies from inception, through to hand over for buildings and portfolios.

Working alongside our Sustainability Consultants and multi-disciplinary consultant teams, you will be keen to specialise in BREEAM, carbon modelling and climate change. You will play a key part in the continued growth of this service that spans over a variety of sectors including (but not limited to): schools, university buildings, offices, industrial units, hotels, leisure centres and hospitals.
Role and Responsibilities:
  • You will be assisting with sustainability assessments of buildings (e.g. BREEAM,HQM, WELL), Life Cycle Assessments / Net Zero Carbon Modelling and Post Occupancy Evaluations
  • The work will involve both office based work (e.g. reviewing drawings, specifications and other evidence to determine its compliance with sustainability criteria, report writing and putting together tools / guidance documents for clients) as well as site visits and attending meetings alongside a qualified BREEAM assessor or Sustainability Consultant
  • You will be expected to work towards managing your own projects with support from a senior member of the team
Experience and Skills Required:
  • Excellent organisational skills are required
  • Degree in a relevant subject i.e. Sustainability, Geography, Environmental Management, etc
  • Highly literate with excellent report-writing ability
  • You will need to be an excellent communicator who can articulate technical and construction related issues across multi-disciplinary project teams
  • Able to build trust and maintain excellent working relationships
