With the Department for Transport (DfT) committing to keep investing in these projects, you will be involved directly in strategically important programmes that meet the governments long term sustainable goals for the UK.The ChallengeBegin your journey with us whilst taking part in our fantastic graduate development programme. We will create an individual training plan to help you develop the specific skills and knowledge required for your role. By the end of it, you will be set up with the best knowledge and hands-on experience to equip you for your professional career in Siemens.Some day to day activities would include:
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of project plans in accordance with Siemens Rail Automation UK project management, planning and PM@Siemens procedures and processes.
  • Working within the project team and with the different functions i.e. project management, commercial and engineering etc. You will help to ensure project schedules are accurately developed, maintained, resource and cost loaded
  • You will be expected to work closely with site and possession planners to ensure cohesion between site works and the main project schedule
  • Assist in project planning analysis, using methods such as milestone slippage and critical path analysis to highlight possible issues and areas of concern in a timely manner.
  • Help ensure that the periodic project reporting requirements are met for both internal and client through the provision of key project metrics such as key performance indicators, earned value, schedule delay and critical path analysis reports as required
  • Assist with the analysis off any potential project change by supporting the provision of project information on risk, issues, cost, resources and delay analysis.
  • Promote and improve planning and controls within the organisation.
The CandidateWe are looking for innovative and inquisitive candidates that demonstrate the following:
  • Achieved or be on track to achieve a 2:2 or above in a business related degree with a clear interest in project management/ planning.
  • You think logically and are willing to self-learn and research and take a creative approach to problem solving
  • You can work independently, safely and responsibly; take ownership of challenges and ideas and are looking to develop your ability to drive and lead change
  • You enjoy collaborating with others to find innovative solutions
