We have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Process Technician to join our established process engineering team. This is a newly created role which may suit a recent graduate with a potential career progression to engineer.
The role
Working as a key member of a small team, you will perform a wide variety of duties working across all the fabrication disciplines, in a clean room environment. You will be responsible for a range of process engineering tasks such as the development of new processes and products as well as current process improvements. You will also be required to make technical decisions, modify existing processes, procedures or methods to provide practical solutions and continuous improvement.
The person

You must be self-motivated, with a strong work ethic, capable of working well on your own and as part of a team. You will have the ability to multi task and prioritise your workload as well as having an organised, analytical and problem solving approach to work. You will be expected once trained to be able to work unsupervised on off-shifts.
You will be enthusiastic and reliable with the ability to make decisions and learn new tasks quickly. You will be willing to take on additional responsibilities and have a desire to get the job done within tight deadlines. The ability to communicate effectively at all levels is essential as are excellent IT skills.
Experience and Skills
Successful candidates will have:
· Degree or PhD qualified in Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Electronics / Electrical Engineering
· A good knowledge of experimental planning and data analysis.
· An understanding and experience of semiconductor or printed circuit board fabrication techniques is advantageous
· May suit a recent graduate since training will be provided where necessary to acquire some of the specialist skills and knowledge required to fulfil this vacancy
· Must be eligible to work in the UK
