The Pitreavie Group are looking for a graduate / part-qualified accountant to join our team. Working in an established Finance team, this role will be based in our Glenrothes head office and offers progression in your studies as well as experience in an established Finance function with room to grow and develop.

Reporting into the Finance Manager, the role is designed to assist and support all areas of the Finance function. Responsibilities will include but not be confined to:

  • Reporting of Sales and Overhead spends to the wider business on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.
  • Management and reporting of the balance sheet, ensuring all aspects of financial control and reconciliation are carried out efficiently.
  • Processing and analysis of purchase invoices and sales invoices.
  • Working alongside all branches in relation to cost control, profit improvement and contract analysis.
  • Assisting in month-end processing and reporting, including fixed assets and depreciation, processing bank payments and analysis in our management reporting packs.
  • Assisting in the annual budgeting process for the Group.
  • Assisting in developing new processes for Finance and the wider business.


In order to be considered for this position we are looking for part qualified level CIMA/ACCA candidates, however someone with a Finance-specific Higher Education level qualification who is willing to undertake a CIMA/ACCA qualification will also be considered. Experience of an Assistant Accountant role or similar in the Manufacturing industry, or in a busy finance department would be preferable but not essential.

Advanced IT skills including Microsoft Excel experience will be vital to this role. The role also requires good communication skills, an eye for detail and the ability to work both independently and part of the wider team. The ability to travel between our sites throughout Scotland will also be required.


In return, this role will offer study support and the chance to gain experience across the full Finance function, including working closely with our manufacturing sites in Cumbernauld and Aberdeen as well as Glenrothes.
