Digital Manufacturing Centre is part of the KW Group and is a company supplying high end quality metal and Polymer additive manufacturing production parts to industry sectors such as Aerospace, Land Transport, Space, Defence and Medical. The DMC is based around engineering innovation and aspires of being the best in class for the UK market in the next 5 years. This high-end facility offers a range of Polymer and Metal Additive Manufacturing Technologies across industries including Automotive, Space, Defence, Medical & Industrial and they are now at the stage where they are looking for key hires for the facility As a key member to the DMC team you will assist in the identification and enablement of current and potential customers. You will understand the commercial opportunity for each customer and work with them to maximise their additive manufacturing uptake where appropriate. While communicating with any customer your prime approach is from an engineering problem solving strategy however, you must always be aware of commercial terms to ensure profitability in the short, medium, and long term. You will ensure all quotes are completed to timescales. You’ll have unrivalled opportunity to work with and for, some of the biggest names within the UK along with the opportunity to help grow, develop and support the next generation of UK SME’s. Main Responsibilities:-Develop new opportunities within various sector industries, developing customer’s knowledge of AM and its capabilities
  • With assistance of operations, process customer quotes from initial enquiry to completion rapidly, and obtaining quotations for sub-contract work
  • Monitor all customer interactions and projects
  • Project Management of complex production work, liaising with operations team and communicating project status to customers
  • Develop customers awareness of DMC’s widening services, including post processing and new materials
  • Obtain feedback from customers
  • Customer data management through a CRM system
  • Providing sales forecasting data when appropriate
  • Preparation of customer data for printing. This may include minor/major fixing and post processing considerations Key Skills:
  • A strong passion for additive manufacturing/new technologies is desired, demonstrable by either personal projects and or prior work experience.
  • A good understanding of materials and manufacturing processes.
  • You will be technically minded with a keen eye for detail
  • Competent within MS Office
  • Impeccable time management and highly organised
  • Understand the importance of KPI-driven performances
  • Able to adhere to routine procedures and can take full responsibility for your own actions Are an ambitious individual, able to think outside the box and provide process improvement input as we continuously seek to improve product quality and production flow. Experience & Qualifications:
  • Currently working towards or have already achieved a 2:1 within one of the following subjects; Mechanical Engineering Degree or above
  • Positive approach with a can do approach
  • Experience in a technical engineering/manufacturing environment
