Up to £32,000

This is a full-time position, working on-site.

David Harber Ltd are multi-award-winning, internationally renowned designers of luxurious, hand-crafted sculptures, whose works have graced some of the world’s most prestigious addresses – from British institutions such as Windsor Castle and Eton to destinations further afield in Asia, Australia, Europe, and the USA.

Every sculpture, sundial or water feature is crafted by hand on site in rural Oxfordshire. As a family-owned business, we are a small but established team, where every individual plays their part offering the very best service to its highly affluent audience of private customers, interior and garden designers, art consultants and property developers.

Your Remit:

Reporting to the Design Team Leader, you will produce detailed costings for classic pieces, customisations, and bespoke concepts. You will create standard operating procedures for the workshops along with installation and maintenance manuals for our overseas clients. You will work closely with different departments across the business including Sales, Manufacturing and the Design teams as part of this varied and diverse opportunity.

Please note that this role is based 100% on site.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Produce annual costings to shape our classic range price list
+ Utilise growing knowledge to develop costings for one off designs and custom pieces
+ Liaise with the sales and production teams to ensure that concepts are always interpreted in the most cost-effective way
+ Produce standard operating procedures for our classic pieces
+ Produce assembly and installation manuals for our classic pieces and when necessary, our bespoke and custom commissions
+ Produce 3D CAD models and technical drawings for David Harber Ltd classic pieces
+ Identify potential design problems and provide feasible solutions
+ Investigate materials and production processes for new and existing designs
+ Fundamentally understand the interaction of components with the ability to communicate this through technical drawings
+ Resolve engineering problems and can create, manage and update technical documents to a high standard

About You:

+ An engineering qualification
+ Academic skills and / or 1-3 years relevant work experience
+ Have experience of SolidWorks CAD software
+ Be proficient with the Microsoft Office package and have good general computer skills
+ Be able to work within budgets and to tight deadlines
+ Have excellent organisational, written, and numerical skills
+ Have excellent timekeeping and time management
