Graduate Civil Engineer
Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 (experience dependant).
Location: Hybrid and flexible working arrangement, with home working and in our Northallerton office, including some travel to other sites. Contract: Permanent, full-time, 40 hours per week. Due to our continued steady expansion, there is an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Civil Engineer to join our multi-discipline workforce. As a Graduate Civil Engineer, you’ll have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and supportive environment, collaborating with the multiple disciplines across the business and working on both private and public sector projects: from new build homes to schools to office building refurbishments with a focus on sustainability. You will be part of the Engineering team, playing an important part in the work we do. We will give you responsibility for contributing to designs, including drawing work, calculations and report writing. You will also have the opportunity to visit projects on site and be part of meetings with clients and other departments in the business. You will be at the heart of the company as we continue to grow. With a strong order book and great variety of work, this role also offers the opportunity to be part of developing the business further with new project and client opportunities. You will be part of a very busy and professional team who have a record of consistently meeting and exceeding their targets and whose passion and determination leads them to continually improve the service they provide. To be successful in this position, you will be able to demonstrate the following essential skills and qualifications:-Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent
  • Skilled in preparing detailed designs and specifications using PDS and/or Civils 3D, AutoCAD, Micro-Drainage/Flow etc
  • Competent in the conceptual and detailed design of infrastructure projects, including earthworks, roads and drainage
  • Working knowledge of relevant UK standards, adoptable standards and building regulations
  • IT literacy with excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office products for report writing/presentations/administration of tasks
  • Progressing or willing to progress towards ICE Membership towards IEng / CEng
