Responsibilities

  • You will be part of a well-motivated team.
  • You will be encouraged to contribute ideas which develop the sites safety culture and behaviour.
  • In addition, you will be involved in the ongoing plans to improve the site.
  • Maintain and protect the health and safety of yourself and others.
  • Operating and cleaning of the off-loading workstations.
  • Maintain the cleanliness around the site.
  • Adhering to relevant health and safety regulations when operating machinery and handling products.
  • Keeping work areas and the factory floors clean and free from hazardous materials.
  • Follow work procedures and highlight any concerns that compromise safety, immediately.
  • Booking in and despatching of goods.
  • Offloading and loading of transport vehicles.
  • Supervise the delivery drivers in discharging powder and liquid bulk tankers.
  • Undertake any other duties which may be required.

Experience

  • You will have a good level of numeracy and computer skills.
  • You will have a good standard of secondary education (for example English, Maths and one science subject at minimum GCSE Grade C or above).
  • You will be fluent in English and will be able to clearly communicate.
  • You will have a good understanding of environmental, health and safety issues (EHS).
  • You will be physically capable to carry out manual tasks safely.
  • Forklift truck license essential.
  • Working in a similar environment desirable, but not essential.

Salary and Benefits

Salary in the region of £25,000 per annum dependent on experience and upon successful completion of training. You will be working 39 hours per week, Monday – Friday.
