We are delighted to be working with our client, a leading tubes and services supplier to the global energy industry, as they have a new job opening for a graduate/young professional to join their Global Trainee Programme in Aberdeen.

A fantastic opportunity to join an organisation focused on collaborating with a network of professionals across the globe to provide advanced tubular products and services to shape the energy industry’s future.

This is a two-year programme working within the Quality department, an integral part of the organisation. The quality of the products is what gives the organisation its competitive advantage.

Over the two years, you will gain practical on-the-job experience, work on exciting projects, take part in classroom training and travel to Argentina to work for a month to network with other trainees and learn more about the organisation as a whole. Trainees are viewed as future leaders, to stay in the organisation and progress once the programme has ended.

Day-to-day duties:

  • Process improvement – looking for and implementing areas to improve our process – e.g. digitalisation, automation
  • Certification of products – review documentation from production processes before release
  • Retrieval of production records and KPI generation / reporting
  • Preparation of Databooks for key orders

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate Degree in Engineering or similar relevant discipline
  • Less than four years industry experience
  • Willingness to travel and explore new cultures
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to adapt to change and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Ambition to progress and succeed within a Quality role
  • Sound knowledge of Power BI is advantageous
  • Open to learning and an all-round team player

Salary and Benefits:

  • Competitive salary
  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week
  • Holiday entitlement: 27 days in each holiday year (01 January to 31 December).
  • Pension Plan: Employer contribution 7.5%, employee contribution 4% minimum
  • Fitness & Health: Gym membership can be reimbursed as per Company’s policy to a maximum of £300 per year.
  • Flexible summer weekends: May be eligible for ½ day on Fridays or start later on Mondays, 2 days per month during July – August (dependent on manager approval and must be worked as extra hours during the remaining weeks of that month)
