Our purpose is to deliver better everyday health through smart choices and after a series of exciting acquisitions, we now own a strong portfolio of consumer healthcare brands, including E45, Decubal, Nailner, CCS, Multi-Gyn, Flux, Paracet, Alpha Foods, Remescar and Nutravita across Global markets.

Alongside a continued active M&A agenda, our target is to accelerate the growth of our current brand portfolio, growing 7-10% CAGR over the next 3 years. For our priority brands, this means double-digit growth, equating to growth well ahead of the category. To achieve this, we must serve consumers better than the competition and for Karo, this requires a transformation in how we build our brands, innovate and go to market.

Role Purpose

The role is required to accelerate Karo Pharma’s RGM processes, in-market capability, and mindset to drive sustainable margin-enhancing and market-beating revenue growth.

Driving growth through RGM lever executions has been identified by our leadership as a significant and therefore critical part of Karo’s upcoming growth journey. As a result, we need to increase our resources in this area. Given our market scale, the role will need to cover two key markets – and five others in a lighter-touch approach.

Role And Responsibilities

  • Though reporting to the Global RGM Director, the purpose of this role is to be a true business partner to the Southern & Mid-European markets, driving dramatic change in our RGM agenda locally.
  • Financial metrics will consist of Revenue Growth performance year on year and gross Margin improvement year on year – both in total euros and percentage.
  • Local deployment of Global Pricing Analytics tools to inform the local market of longer-term strategies and short-term tactics. This will include a periodic review of price growth performance period by period.
  • Implementation of Promotion (Campaign) analytics to ensure price (and other) activations in store, recommending and following up on changes to the Promotional (Campaign) calendars with the commercial teams. Orientating the commercial team behind ROI on these activities.
  • Trade Investment reviews and reporting to drive Karo’s visibility and conditionality drive for all of our Trade Investment, ensuring investments are both appropriate for the markets (depending on their structure) and SMART.
  • Working with the local Category Teams (Squads) – key pack, and price architecture initiatives have been identified across one of our local leading brands, this role with give RGM support to the local Squad lead throughout the projects

Key Stakeholders

  • Local key market commercial teams (UK, DACH, Italy, Spain, France, Netherlands, Belgium), sales, brand, and category
  • Central Power BI team to support analytics development
  • Global insights and analytics team to understand data provision, format, and frequency
  • Relevant Category Squads for the key markets

Requirements

  • Three years of RGM experience, working as part of an in-market team
  • Financial acumen – understanding of how to increase sales, profit and profitability, both from a customer and a brand owner perspective
  • Market data – utilising market data effectively to build win / win plans for Karo and our customers
  • High level of numerical reasoning
  • MS Office proficient (advanced Excel)
  • Power BI competence desirable
  • Influencing, networking and communication – builds trust and influences effectively outside of your direct team
  • FMCG or Healthcare experience
  • Trade Promotions Management experience advantageous
  • Fluency in English
  • Ability to work independently
