The Chief Administrative Office’s (CAO) Finance & Business Management team is comprised of high performing professionals across the world primarily located in New York City, Jersey City, Plano, Bengaluru, London and Hong Kong. They are accountable for managing the expense components of the CAO function, ensuring a sound control environment, measuring performance, providing value-add analyses, and presenting information and ideas to senior management within CAO, to the major lines of business, and to the various Firm-wide finance teams who roll up the results of the entire Corporation.

Job Description

The Global Real Estate (GRE) Finance team sits within the Chief Administrative Office’s Finance & Business Management Team. It is led by the GRE CFO and is comprised of finance professionals who are accountable for managing the strategy, expense & capital components of the GRE function. The team covers all aspects of the Firm’s corporate real estate portfolio.

In this role, you will support the GRE CFO and each of the EMEA and APAC GRE Region Leads in aligning firmwide business plans to site by site real estate strategies and financial forecasts. You will lead a team of experienced professionals overseeing location strategy financial analysis, capital project plans, LOB allocations, site-level expense forecasts, and firmwide headcount location plans. In this role, you will be expected to drive the execution of the regional GRE strategy ensuring alignment across LOBs and GRE functions, drive continuous process improvements, support global GRE initiatives and manage teams with diverse locations (London, Hong Kong, Mumbai, Bangalore & Warsaw). This role requires excellent written and verbal presentation skills as you will be responsible for synthesizing complex plans and messages to CFOs and senior leadership across the firm to help drive decisions . This is a fast paced role, requiring flexibility and comfort with frequent shifts in priorities as real estate reacts to LOB and senior leadership requests.

Responsibilities

  • Develop financial analysis to support market specific location strategy in order to make data driven decisions (e.g. buy vs lease, relocations, expansions/downsizes/exits, sublet opportunities)
  • Drive cadence and production of budget and monthly forecast at a site level and create reporting and analytics for the GRE CFO and EMEA & APAC Regional Leads
  • Partner with the Real Estate functions (e.g. Design & Construction, Property Management, Transactions, Regional Strategy, Incentives Group) to develop project level Capital Plan, OPEX forecasts, and other P&L drivers; and providing oversight to ensure effective decision making on all expenditure. Ensure forecast and budget reflect the most up to date assumptions and strategies
  • Provide regular and ad hoc strategic reporting to CFOs and senior management, offering transparency into real estate expense allocations and the impact of headcount location plans
  • Drive process efficiencies, enhance controls, and introduce automation where possible
  • Provide reporting oversight ensuring deadlines are met and that reporting is accurate and timely
  • Assist in prioritization, implementation, and measurement of key priorities, goals, and targets for the business

Qualifications
  • Extensive relevant Finance & Business Management experience, preferably in financial services, and/or accounting/controllership
  • Demonstrated ability to develop a vision and strategy while working in a highly collaborative manner
  • Experience with leading cross-functional teams, managing large scale projects and interacting with people across all levels of the organization, including senior management and across diverse geographical locations
  • Exhibits excellent commercial judgment and financial acumen, and strong interpersonal skills
  • Detail oriented with the ability to work well under pressure, handling multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously
  • Proactive in driving process efficiencies and recommending solutions for continuous improvement
  • Excellent organizational, management, and verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong technical and analytical skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, Essbase
  • Excellent storytelling skills and ability to craft concise materials for senior management
  • Team player with the ability to be respected as a trusted partner for the LOB, Finance, and Real Estate Teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in business related discipline required (Business Administration or Finance preferred); MBA or MS preferred
