My client is one of the global leaders in providing Total Quality Assurance solutions to industries worldwide. They deliver innovative and bespoke Assurance, Testing, Inspection and Certification solutions for their customers’ operations and supply chains – helping retailers, brands and manufacturers to ensure their products meet safety, regulatory, quality, and performance standards.

There is currently an exciting opportunity for a Global National Account Manager to join their dynamic team primarily managing major Softlines retailers. The role is offered with an attractive package and gives the opportunity to join and work with some of the best, brightest, and most inspiring people in the Assurance, Testing, Inspection, and Certification industry.

About the role:

The Global National Account Manager will join a team based out of the UK, whose focus of the sales effort will be on Consumer Products. The requirement will be to proactively promote the capabilities of the company globally including Assurance, Testing, Inspection and Certification services. You will be primarily responsible for the development existing business in National Account Retailers, although there may be a limited amount of prospecting other large accounts.

Principal accountabilities include:

  • Delivery of sales targets.
  • Create and deliver strategic account partnerships.
  • Serving as liaison between customer and the company’s global operations to ensure correct understanding and consistent execution of customer’s requirements.
  • Produce compelling and innovative proposals based on solution-selling principles.
  • Drives and generates opportunities for revenue growth consistent with global key account initiatives and strategies.
  • Participates and leads the customer in routine quality and safety meetings with QA, technologists, CSR contacts and other stakeholders.
  • Provides oversight, accurate status and reporting of project milestones to client team members.
  • Expedites projects as needed to ensure turnaround times and performance metrics are met.
  • Creates and delivers compelling client presentations for quarterly business review meetings.
  • Prepares sales reports, forecasts, and provide regular account status updates through established CRM system, including the development of account-based strategies (Strategic Account Plan).

About you

Required skills and experience:

  • National Account Management experience (essential) - preferably with Retailers
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent negotiation skills.
  • Good IT literacy skills – Microsoft office and CRM tools
  • Driven and energised – can work independently.
  • Driver’s license (essential)
