Post Title: General Warehouse Person
Salary: £11.50 - £12.00 per hour Based: Ossett, Wakefield district, West Yorkshire Contract: Permanent
Hours: Days only 08.30am-16.30pm AS&T Direct have been asked to recruit an experienced individual who has had previous experience with all aspects of Warehousing. Summary of the Post Our client is looking for a confident and enthusiastic individual who is looking to pursue a career within the Warehousing sector. Duties:
  • General Warehouse duties
  • Experience driving Counterbalance Fork Truck. (In date licence beneficial)
  • Experience using a form of Pallet truck. (In date licence beneficial).
  • Manual Handling experience.
  • Sorting and placing materials or items on to racks, and shelves.
  • Collecting items from throughout the warehouse.
  • Preparing and completing warehouse orders for delivery or pickup according to a schedule.
  • Performing warehouse inventory controls via scanner and or through a computer.
  • Stock counting and location check.
  • Ensuring the Warehouse is clean and tidy.
  • Ensuring Health & Safety at all times. The right Person:

  • Methodical.
  • Punctual.
  • Possess good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Have good organisation skills with the ability to prioritise between various competing tasks.
  • Demonstrate initiative.
  • Be a Team-player and have an ability to work on your own initiative. Professionalism
