Stonegate Group are the largest Pub, Bar and Club operator in the UK. We currently have an opportunity for an experienced General Manager to join The Red Lion, Wednesbury

The Red Lion, Wednesfield is a great community local with a very strong wet and dry trade. Currently trading from 12 – 11pm throughout the week with later trading at the weekends where the site has a good reputation for Live music and entertainment.

The Red Lion has a loyal local customer base and has links to local sports clubs and is popular as a venue to watch the sports and is favourite of the local Wolverhampton football fans before heading into the city. Popular with groups out for weekend drinks and due to the size of the garden areas there are great opportunities to be had during the summer months and for family and charity events.

Benefitting is a large single floor operation with a U-shaped bar which lends itself perfectly for zoning the pub into two areas. One side is more suited to a dining area whereas the other is more accustomed to the drinkers and those following the sport.

There is a large garden to the rear of the business, which is set on 2 levels, the lower of these a grassed area and the upper level comprises of two covered areas with patio style furniture. There is also a small patio area at the front of the building which offers additional seating.

We are looking to recruit a General Manager who possesses that community spirit, able to get emersed within the community and their loyal regulars. Ideally you have some great food experience coupled with the ability to organise activity throughout the week to keep your existing guests engaged whilst attracting new ones.

The ideal General Manager will be experienced within the Community Pub arena and will posses that Mien Host quality, where you are the focal point of the business. Ideally you will have a keen interest in sport too, not just what’s on the TV but also able to drive the team aspect within the pub such as darts, pool and football.

This is a real quality local and is by far the one that stands out in the local area with bags of potential still yet to be explored, a real winner!
