About CIM Moor Hall:

CIM Moor Hall is a popular event venue located in the picturesque town of Cookham, Berkshire. Moor Hall is primarily established as a peaceful space for training and meetings, it provides a scenic licensed location for weddings, has 80 bedrooms, and is the primary office space for The Chartered Institute of Marketing.

About the role:

You will provide inspiring leadership to the team as well as, identify and maximise income potential for CIM Moor Hall. The success indicators for the role will include: customer experience (e.g. customer feedback, repeat business and referrals), positive leadership (e.g. staff engagement & motivation) and profitable financial performance.

In a typical day, you might:

Leadership

· Set a compelling vision for the venue.

· Develop and implement supporting growth plans to maximise venue income opportunities.

· Be entrepreneurial – identify, research, and present new opportunities.

· Establish and cascade venue metrics, KPIs and team objectives.

· Lead a motivated and skilled delivery team who represent the value and brand of CIM Moor Hall. Nurture and develop teams and individuals to ensure maximum engagement and to continue the delivery of services.

Operations and Delivery

· Prepare and report on Moor Hall venue budgets, business and sales plans, and operational performance to deliver against financial targets.

· Ensure the smooth running of the site, to ensure all areas of the business are well managed, effectively resourced, and the guest experience is delivered to the highest level.

· Implement policies and procedures as appropriate.

· Oversee effective procurement and supplier management systems.

Risk and Compliance

· Responsible for site Health and Safety, Kitchen and Bar Hygiene as well as, other relevant legislative requirements as appropriate.

About you

· Entrepreneurial and a strategic thinker, possessing strong commercial and financial acumen.

· Able to own a budget and manage the team to deliver against agreed KPIs.

· Proven experience in general management with strong problem-solving capabilities.

· Attention to detail.

· Creative and innovative, bringing new ideas to raise the commercial aspirations and maximise CIM Moor Hall potential.

· Previous experience of meeting space and hotel operations and the implications for the management of their facilities.

· Food and Beverage knowledge.

· Experience in operational and project budget management.

· Leadership experience in this field.

· IT skills – Microsoft Office suite.

· Able to prepare and deliver compelling presentations to a range of stakeholders.

As part of the nature of this role, the post holder may be required to work unsocial hours and be part of an on-call rota.
