General Manager - Wedding & Event Venue near Tetbury Rewards & Benefits - Competitive salary OTE of £40,000 - 50,000 depending on experience. - Company benefits The Role This is a great opportunity for an experienced senior operator within the Wedding & Events sector to take over the management of this popular venue in Gloucestershire. With autonomy over the day-to-day aspects of the business as well as working with the directors on the long-term strategy this role provides the scope to carve out a new era for this already successful business.

There is an experienced team operating the venue and along with the support of event caterers the venue hosts in excess of 100 weddings per year and also has a variety of guest accommodation on site. In addition to overseeing Weddings & Events, the General Manager will be responsible for marketing, team leadership, development & recruitment, managing contracts with preferred suppliers, managing the upkeep and general maintenance of the venue along with refurbishment projects, financial controls, and P&L responsibility. This is a hands on role where the successful candidate will be expected to lead from the front.

The Candidate To be considered for this role we are looking for a really skilled operator with a proven ability at managing a hotel or venue with an emphasis on weddings & events. Candidates should be able to demonstrate their ability to engage and drive a team, proactively manage suppliers and have a strong handle on financial controls, planning and forecasting.
