We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead our five-storey contemporary Nigerian restaurant, bar, and lounge. The ideal candidate will have experience leading a team and managing the daily operation of the business. They will be responsible for the overall management of the establishment, including day-to-day operations, financial performance, customer satisfaction, overseeing events and providing leadership and direction to the team.
Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate the restaurant team to deliver excellent customer service and achieve business objectives
- Oversee daily operations and ensure the smooth running of the establishment across all five floors
- Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue and profitability
- Create and maintain relationships with suppliers, stakeholders, and the local community
- Manage inventory and control costs to achieve financial targets
- Ensure compliance with health and safety, food hygiene, and licensing regulations
- Recruit, train, and develop staff to achieve high performance and meet business needs
- Manage employee schedules, payroll, and other administrative tasks
- Organise and oversee events throughout the year
Requirements
- Proven experience as a General Manager in a similar establishment, with a track record of success
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with staff, customers, and stakeholders
- Financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets, analyse financial statements and make data-driven decisions
- In-depth knowledge of the food and beverage industry, including trends and best practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a customer-centric mindset
- Degree or diploma in Hospitality, Business Management or related field preferred
- Food Hygiene & Safety Certificate and Personal License preferred
