We want to hear from you!MPLOY is looking to source a full time/permanent General Manager for a brand-new Client in Bridport, Dorset.Why should you be interested? Our client is offering:
  • An annual salary of £40,000 per year. Subject to your performance in post, our client aims to increase your salary to £50,000 per annum within your first year of employment.
  • A Monday to Friday working pattern, 9am to 5pm, with weekend work subject to operational need.
  • 28 days of annual leave per year, including Bank Holidays.

  • will lead the day-to-day operation of our client’s Activity Centre. You’ll have a track record of successfully managing commercial operations and teams. Experience in managing customer facing, catering, marketing and events teams will be highly valued by our client.
  • is a people focused person who leads by example and has line management experience. You can expect to manage up to 6 immediate reports and a wider team of 50. You’ll be expected to foster a spirit of unity and teamwork across our client’s business whilst driving value for money and profitability.
  • has an eye for detail. You’ll know when something isn’t quite right and be willing to mentor/coach to ensure a world class visitor experience. You’ll be a process driven person who is always looking to improve speed, quality, output and efficiency within the business.
  • has ideally worked within an Activity Centre, Visitor Attraction or Hospitality setting previously however our client is open to a variety of experiences.
  • is flexible and willing to ‘muck in’ when things don’t go to plan.
  • has diverse commercial experiences. You might have experience in: staff rota generation; running team meetings; managing premises security (CCTV & alarm systems); ensuring fire safety (fire marshal training/delegation, alarm/call point testing & evacuations); working within safe systems of work/health & safety policies; liaising with external contractors (maintenance, construction or play equipment inspection companies); using/fault finding EPOS systems (including daily cashing up); acting as a designated premises supervisor/personal licence holder or delivering an event programme.
  • is conversant with MS Office software and is a fast system learner. You can expect to use our Client’s Health and Safety, security and rota generation software.
  • is an articulate communicator who can listen actively and present well. You’ll have excellent ‘soft’ skills whilst being a brilliant organiser. You’ll be able to effectively communicate with your teams and customers to ensure excellent service levels.
