We are excited to be working in partnership with a highly successful and established client who are looking to recruit a General Manager.

This vacancy is extremely rare and a brilliant opportunity for an experienced professional who is looking for their next step on the career ladder! You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the country club including club activities, manage relations between the club, members, guests and employees. You will also be responsible for organising, coordinating and managing all activities to ensure financial targets are met whilst ensuring quality, service and value are adhered to at all times.

Your Main Responsibilities Will Include
  • Achieve the agreed financial targets for each financial year
  • Review the management and staffing structure in order to achieve optimum service
  • Develop, action and maintain the Sales & Marketing plan
  • Develop, action and maintain the Training plan for all staff
  • Lead all recruitment, induction, management and monitoring of the wider team
  • Undertake annual staff performance reviews and appraisals
  • Review physical assets and prepare a maintenance schedule to ensure the presentation of the venue is kept to a high standard at all times
  • Coordinate and administer policies
  • Develop, implement and build on strategies to maximise reputation and financial performance
  • Take an active role in forecasting, developing and reporting
  • Implement and monitor budget
  • Ensure maximum member and guest satisfaction
  • Ensure controls and procedures are in place to mitigate losses
  • Perform any other duties as required
To be considered for this amazing opportunity, our client does require the following experience /background:
  • Previous experience as a General or Operations Manager within the Hospitality environment
  • Strong people manager with excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Commercially aware with strong business acumen
  • Experience working within club management, membership, sales & marketing, food & Beveridge, financial and customer relations
  • Ability to lead, coach and develop staff members
  • Genuine passion to succeed with an approachable and adaptable manner
  • Strong commitment to hospitality, customer service and quality
