Vacancy Description

Platinum Motor Group is looking to recruit an experienced and multi-skilled Maintenance Person to work alongside our existing maintenance person to manage the upkeep and general maintenance of our 6 sites, ensuring that our Dealerships are maintained to Group standards. Tasks will include reactive repairs, decorating and basic building works as well as planned preventative work. You will ensure facilities are tidy and functional at all times.

Knowledge and experience of plumbing and basic building skills, decorating etc. are highly important to this role, alongside being enthusiastic, motivated and having the ability to work well under pressure. We are looking for someone who prides themselves on a high standard of work and is able to prioritise their workload efficiently. You must be reliable and hold a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities
  • Perform general reactive maintenance such as repairing broken locks, filling gaps on walls etc. in a timely fashion
  • Perform planned preventative work
  • Install appliances and equipment
  • Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, fixtures and fittings
  • Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems
  • Assist with the moving of equipment and furniture
  • Collaborate with workers and other professionals during renovations
  • Report to a facilities or maintenance Manager/Director for issues
  • Comply with all current H&S legislation

Requirements
  • Background in general building and maintenance
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems
  • Experience using hand and electrical tools
  • Very good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Physical stamina and dexterity
  • Full UK driving licence
