General IT Office Technician Sittingbourne (onsite) £15 - £20 per hour DOE Hours: 20-25 hours per week, (can offer school time flexibility)


We are looking for a motivated and organised General IT Office Technician to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who can work for4-5 hours a day, 5 days a week, and can flexible to accommodate school hours. The position requires a blend of intermediate IT skills, familiarity with security and alarm systems, and mobile device management, complemented by strong organisational abilities.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide general technical support in an office environment, including troubleshooting intermediate IT issues with the assistance of our internal IT helpdesk.
  • Manage and maintain mobile phone contracts, including Mobile Device Management (MDM) systems.
  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of security and fire alarm systems.
  • Actively manage and log company assets onto spreadsheets, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Collaborate with various teams to support a range of IT and general technical projects.
  • Ensure the cyber security standards are maintained.
  • Includes managing the hardware replacement programme, ordering IT and mobile hardware from authorised channels, including tablets, laptops, printers, plotters & peripherals.
  • Setting up TV Monitors in meeting rooms, Phones and Tablets for users and installing company Apps.
  • Assisting with the installation of specific operational software for example on CNC machines.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • A friendly and approachable personality, capable of working effectively within a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think logically and remain calm under pressure.
  • Strong organisational skills, with an ability to manage and prioritise workload effectively.
  • Basic knowledge of IT systems and troubleshooting, including familiarity with Windows environments and basic networking.
  • Experience with office technology such as mobile phones, MDMs, and security systems.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and participate in various IT-related projects.
  • A proactive approach to maintaining and updating technical workflows and records.
  • Occasional visits to Sheffield and Glasgow when required that could include an overnight stay.
