Handyman / woman / multitrader required - Eastbourne, East Sussex

Are you a handyperson / multitrader with a valid CSCS card? Do you have a desire to gain site knowledge and thrive in your position? If this sounds like you, we have the perfect role. Our client, a reputable construction company is looking for a handyperson to join their team for the duration of their project with a view of joining the team on a more permenant basis and moving on to other contracts they pick up.

Your new role:

Your main duties will be to assist the site manager and get on with basic trade duties apon request, so although some labouring duties will be required, it will also be an opportunity for you to learn and develop your skills into site management.

• Assisting site manager and trades.
• Multitrade / handyman duties such as, basic carpentry, painting groundworks, masticing, snagging.
• Being confident using basic hand tools (saws, chisels, screw drivers).
• Helping with basic paperwork such as signing in sheets.
• Distributing materials.
• General site clearance.

About you:

• Minimum 3 years previous site experience in a similar role with a desire to move up the ranks.
• Have knowledge and relevant experience in various trades.
• CSCS Card Essential.
• Full PPE.
• Be able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.
• Good work ethic and excellent timekeeping essential.
• IT literate
• Be willing to muck in with labouring duties.
