We are recruiting a General Handyman / Maintenance Person who goes by the job title of Facilities Co-Ordinator. We would love to welcome you to join our warm and friendly team.

We have 1 x Part time position available for 20 hours a week. Hours are flexible to meet the needs of the applicant and the home. There may be occasions when you are required to complete emergency out of hours work.

Post holder to undergo a DBS and reference checks.

Our superhero needs to

  • Be well organised with strong general repair skills
  • Have a keen eye for detail
  • Have technical knowledge
  • Have general decorating skills
  • Able to repair anything from furniture and fittings to fencing
  • Provide property maintenance services, in accordance with best practice, according to policy and procedures, agreed standards, legislative requirements, and relevant regulations under the direction of the Home Manager and within annual budget
  • Ensure the property is fully compliant with regard to statutory compliance and Health & Safety legislation
  • Observe and operate a standard of cleanliness and hygiene which meets legislation related to the registration of the Home
  • Work in a cost-effective manner
  • Protect, secure and manage the premises and equipment
  • Be responsible for overall maintenance of the property and grounds
  • Ensure the frontage of the property is presented to a high standard
  • Ensure service contracts are carried out as per service level agreements
  • Carry out regular decorating and room refurbishments
  • Liaise with contractors and suppliers to build relationships and ensure they comply with H&S standards
  • Identify problems and provide solutions or action plan of works
  • Responsible for completing the Facilities Check Sheets and completing all necessary tasks safely and in order of priority
