General Farm Worker/Tractor Driver

The Role:

We are looking to recruit an additional team member for the role of General Farm Worker/Tractor Driver to join our family run dairy farm. We are looking for someone who is reliable and enthusiastic to join the team. The job will mainly involve tractor work to include, field work, forage work and manure handling and occasional TMR feeding of the dairy cows. There will also be, especially during Winter periods, routine stock work as part of this role.

The Applicant:
We are seeking an applicant that shows enthusiasm and energy for the role. Key skills would include, good time keeping, attention to detail and ability to work well in a team. Candidates must have experience in tractor driving and a tele-handler licence is preferred but not essential.

We offer a competitive hourly rate. You will be required to work every other weekend, with a day off in the week.

We cannot offer accommodation for this role.

The Farm:
Our family run dairy farm is located in the Marshwood Vale, West Dorset. We are a progressive dairy, milking 850 pedigree Holsteins, rearing 400 dairy heifers every year, and we also fatten Aberdeen Angus beef.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Bridport, DT6 5NY: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Experience:

• tractor driving: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

• Driving Licence (required)
• Tele-handler licence (preferred)

Work authorisation:

• United Kingdom (required)
