General Farm worker ( GFW) / trainee farm manager

We are a mixed dairy, beef and arable family farm. Milking 150 cows, Ayr calving grazing cows April-Oct. Keeping all calves for either replacement or beef. 400 acres arable land with wheat, maize, wholecrop and cover crops. Over 100acres flood meadows in HLS used to make hay on.

The job is varied including feeding cows, cleaning out sheds, field work ( hay making, muck spreading, grain hauling etc), machinery and building maintenance.

The right attitude and the ability to learn is more important than experience. Looking for someone who is reliable, able to work as part of a team or independently. With training, someone who is able to take on day to day management of the farm, and, over time, contribute to longer term management decisions. An interest in conservation, regen ag and soil health would be useful. Driving licence required.
