Role: Adhoc Cover Supervisors Location: Wigan Start: ASAP Contract: Temporary opportunities Prospero are working in partnership with a number of secondary schools located in Wigan. The schools are working with Prospero to build up a pool of cover supervisors to assist with daily cover needs. This is a fantastic opportunity for educators with a range of experience to secure regular work with a local school, providing opportunity to familiarise yourself with staff and pupils of the school. Working as a cover supervisor, you will be supervising classes during the absence of a teacher, providing short term cover, and helping the students with their learning assisted by well-planned lessons for you to work with. This is a great opportunity for experienced educators or graduates who are working towards a career in education to gain school-based experience on a flexible basis. The ideal candidate: A graduate seeking school-based experience before applying for a teacher training course. Sports coaches who are experienced in working with young people outside of a school environment. A person who may have experience within the military of prison services, working with challenging behaviour or vulnerable people. An educator who may have school-based experience but no QTS or teacher qualification. A teaching assistant or learning support assistant who is keen to further their experience. Teaching Personnel can also support with this by putting you through our free online cover supervisor course.EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS Recent Graduate, with a 2:1 or higher Previous experience working in a UK school Previous experience working in a leadership role Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year Up to date Prevent training issued in the last yearTO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST: Hold Right to Work in the UK Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application Provide two professional child related references covering the last 2 yearsIf you would like to be considered for this role, please apply with a copy of your up-to-date CV.
