JML Contracts is a small dynamic Civils and building company based in Perthshire. We carry out design, supply and installation of all forms of retaining walls for small clients up to Tier 1 contractors. We also supply and install a prefilled gabion system from our yard just off the A9 near Auchterarder.

We are currently recruiting for the position of Gabion Prefill Supervisor.

The Role: you will be looking after our gabion retaining wall on site works and prefill yard and ensuring tasks are carried out accurately, efficiently and in line with the demands of our build programme. Reporting to our Project Manager, you will be hands-on in carrying out all aspects of the works to specification, build programme and budget. A positive, proactive and planned approach to every task is essential.

Once established in this role the natural progression would be into the organisation, planning and management of the gabion projects (both in situ and prefill).

Requirements

  • A positive attitude to work and willingness to learn.
  • Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills.
  • Self-motivated, efficient and safe approach to works.
  • Good communicator, polite and professional.
  • Gabion or retaining wall experience desired, but full training can be given.
  • A full driving licence is required. NPORS/CSCS certificates advantageous, but not essential.

This is a full time position which will be based at our prefill yard in Auchterarder and on our construction projects. Adaptability, flexibility and excellent time management skills are essential.

Salary: £13.00-£16.00 per hour
