Job description

We are looking for Fullstack Developers to join a French multinational utility company, growing their Leeds office. They think about IoT on a much bigger scale. They build our own custom hardware and combine it with our cloud-hosted web platform to take control of large commercial and residential buildings - allowing us to lower carbon emissions, reduce energy usage, and improve the wellbeing of the people working or living there. On sunny days, they make sure the blinds are down just right. They control the heating and the AC, so it’s never too hot or too cold. You can forget about key cards and visitor passes because now it’s all on your smartphone. Hardware and software in perfect symphony.
They’re also making workplaces more agile with their room and desk booking app - something that’s really important right now as more and more people split their working time between home and office.
They’re currently looking for talented software and hardware developers to help make our vision a reality. If you’re an experienced Node.js developer and you’re looking for a role that’s a little bit different to the rest, then we want to hear from you.
We are looking for 2 permanent hires and 2 candidates for a 12 month FTC

You will do/be:

  • Writing and maintaining the code.
  • Developing user interfaces for electronic devices for both, consumer, and industrial applications.
  • Developing APIs for integration with devices.
  • Analysing and implementing best coding practices into the project code.
  • Analysing technical requirements of the project and adapting the code in line with them.
  • Identifying and developing areas for revisions in current projects.
  • Executing and implementing software tests.
  • Developing quality assurance procedures for software and hardware-integration projects.
  • Analysing the needs of users, as well as designers’, QA testers’, and other development team members’ needs.
  • Developing quality assurance procedures.
  • Coordinating the efforts and cooperating with other developers, designers, system and business analysts, etc.
  • Documenting every part of the development process for further work and maintenance.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year experience developing with Node.js and React
  • Experience using Typescript
  • Familiarity with Git
  • Strong database skills
  • Ability to write modular and reusable code
  • Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team

Benefits

  • Flexible/Hybrid working from the Leeds office
  • £40-50,000 depending on the experience
