An exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced digital marketing company on a permanent basis, located in Team Valley, Tyne and Wear. We currently require an experienced Web Developer to join a dedicated team of professionals working on a growing portfolio of E-Commerce stores.

The role is best suited to someone who is keen to hit the ground running with in-house web development projects, which usually include a mix of new features, improvements and bug fixes as well as bigger projects. You’ll be maintaining the current portfolio of E-Commerce stores and also be involved in longer term projects that will help the company grow.

This is not an agency. Our client owns all of the E-Commerce stores in their portfolio. If you would like to work in a collaborative and creative environment with like-minded experts, this opportunity should not be missed.

Duties- Implementing new features and fixing bugs for the current portfolio of e-commerce stores- Building bespoke modules or advise on off-the-shelf alternatives- Providing estimates for scope of work- Carrying out stringent testing on all sites and projects ensuring effective functionality is maintained- Using industry insight and initiative to discover new ways to improve the current website portfolio- Providing support for the in-house team with web development queries and troubleshooting current stores’ portfolio

Preferred (but not essential) Skills- Docker- TDD- Redis- Elastic Search- Adobe Commerce Cloud

Essential Traits- Self-motivated- Excellent coding standards and methodologies- Excellent communication skills- Excellent organisational skills- Eager to learn and passionate about web technologies- Positive and energetic

ExperienceIdeally 2-3 years’ experience working in a commercial environment and Git/Bitbucket account with examples of your work.

ScheduleYou will work at the company head office based in the Team Valley. Hours are 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday. Overtime is offered but is never a requirement.
