We have an exciting opportunity for a Operations Manager to join us at our BRAND NEW INTERNATIONAL HUB in NUNEATON. We’re always on the lookout for top talent to join our growing business. Because of the 24/7 nature of our operation, this is not a Monday-Friday, 9-5pm position, the role does require flexibility to fit in line with volumes of the business. To support our operation and manage your site fully, there will be occasions when you will be on site across the night shift and potentially weekends as needed. But more importantly you must be able to make operational and strategic decisions at pace and have the self-belief to commit to a plan of action.

You will support the Hub Manager by taking full responsibility of the operational elements of the site and all the functions/processes that fall under this. Ensuring the delivery of a safe, legally compliant and cost-efficient environment performing to all Service Level Agreements. You will follow all recognised hub systems and processes, manage and lead staff, maintain and develop external customer relationships and deliver a professional service to our clients.

Responsibilities
  • Ensuring the appropriate level of resource is assigned to each function to cover all shifts across the working week.
  • Responsible and accountable for the performance of the Inbound, Outbound, Manual and International processes.
  • Responsible for overall shift performance, compliance, client service levels, health and safety, employee engagement.
  • Planning for every department of shift; resource, KPI targets and management cover.
  • Accountable for sending detailed shift reports, root causing failed KPI’s supported evidence and an action plan to improve.
  • Must have strong analytical skills, be data driven and use data to influence, challenge and drive performance and compliance.
  • Accountable for shift costs and able to demonstrate strong cost leadership.

  • Carrying out regular individual 121’s, performance reviews and team meetings with team.
  • Responsible for all H&S and quality audits including risk assessments and safe systems of work in your areas.
  • Using Operational insight to support the ongoing development of SOP’s, SLA’s, KPI’s and objectives and manage own team against these through best practise and day to day appraisal.
  • Develop a peak plan for your area of responsibility in line with forecasted volumes and or changes in automation to meet financial and resourcing needs.
  • Promoting and driving consistency to ensure the delivery of excellent operational standards.
  • Lead by example in creating a high-performance people orientated culture within the function that thinks inside the box.
To Be Successful You Will Require
  • Excellent Maths and English skills written and verbal
  • Microsoft office competent
  • Full current driving licence
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of operational processes and practices
  • Strong ability in transferring skill set to educate and build team capability
  • Must be able to work on own initiative in a pressurised environment
  • Strong resilience under pressure to perform whilst holding stability
  • Experienced and proven knowledge of managing a PL budget
  • Be able to use internal systems
