Do you have the magic that it takes to coach and mentor some super cool geeks? We are looking for a Software Engineer Instructor for our Mindera Academy!

Mindera is launching a brand new Code Academy and we have big dreams at Mindera to allow all people passionate about technology to learn to program and prepare them for the world of work. Could you be the guru we are looking for?

This unique opportunity requires an individual with industry experience in Frontend Software Development, who can inspire students to persevere through the challenges of learning a new skill set, disciplines and languages. You will play an integral part in shaping and lifting the course, which will echo the mission of our Mindera School. You will be giving a life-changing educational experience to our students by teaching them a new mindset to take on a career as web developers. Our Instructor will be nurturing talent and introducing the latest technology trends to our future masterminds, whilst using existing and new resources.

You rock at

• HTML, CSS & JavaScript
• React & NodeJS
• REST/GraphQL
• SQL / NoSQL Databases
• SOLID principles
• Testing (Unit Testing, Integration Testing, E2E Testing)
• CI/CD Tools e.g. Jenkins, GitLab, Travis
• Code Conventions

You are good at

• Generic computer science knowledge
• Version control (Git)
• Teaching, Mentoring & Coaching
• Working knowledge of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle)

Beyond Tech you

• You will work closely with one or more coaches to guide students through a rigorous, transformational journey.
• Inspire and support students as they identify their passions and drive their own learning beyond the curriculum.
• Adapt our global curriculum and use it to guide your teaching for Mindera UK and contribute back your lessons learned over time.
• Facilitate a safe, supportive, and energetic environment that welcomes the various needs and learning styles of your students.
• And, of course, teaching and coaching are what you love the most! People are key to our company and this role: communication, trust and collaborative work will be as relevant as your capability and experience.
