Corps Security is currently recruiting for a SIA Licenced Security Officer to be based at one of our prestigious client’s premises.

Job purpose:

To provide security and support duties in a professional and courteous manner in line with both the client requirements and Corps Security’s policies and procedures.

Role requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus.
  • Must hold a valid SIA Frontline Licence.
  • Intermediate level PC Skills ( MS Office)
  • 5 year checkable work/career history. All applicants will be vetted in line with industry standards – BS7858

Duties include:

As a security officer with Corps Security you are expected to perform a wide range of duties towards the company’s objective of satisfying our clients’ needs of protecting life and ensuring the integrity of their buildings.

The following list is not exhaustive:


  • Conduct appropriate handover with the colleague (Concierge Officer/Security Officer) you are relieving or handing the site to.
  • Present a visible presence and proactively seek to protect our client’s employees, customers and visitors as well as property against criminal acts and incidents such as fire and flooding
  • Proactively seek to deter and prevent offences or timely detect and report any found committed
  • Patrol the client’s site or building regularly – a minimum of four patrol tours during your shift
  • Respond to emergency incidents as when they arise following procedures including any prescribed by our client.
  • Participate in emergency exercise and training
  • Liaise with emergency services during incidents and provide directions while they are on site
  • Monitor CCTV as a tool in the detection, deterrence and prevention of crime
  • Control of access into the building
  • Maintain accurate and concise Daily Occurrence Book of events
  • Accurately report all incidents to the appropriate levels – Corps Security Scheduling, Duty Manager, Contract Manager, Police, Fire Service, Ambulance and the client.
  • Produce Incident Reports on all incidents
  • Maintain the site and in particular, your working area, as a safe, clean and comfortable working environment
  • Effectively handle any reasonable instructions given by the client such as dealing with contractor, deliveries, tenants’ matters, etc.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations including those stipulated by the client
  • Lock down/unlock the building at a times determined by the client
  • Carry out appropriate booking on/off duty with Corps Security Scheduling
  • Carry out hourly check calls to Corps Security Scheduling
  • Attend to your duties at the client’s site in appropriate Corps Security uniform and remain in the uniform until you are relieved by either a colleague or the client


In addition to the above a Receptionist/Concierge Officer may be required to carry out the following duties:
The Concierge Officer will be the first point of contact for clients, their customers as well as Corps Security.

  • Receive/greet and process Visitors
  • Perform ‘front of house’ receptionist duties as required.
  • Liaise with Company staff for collection of guests.
  • Deal with enquires from the passing public.
  • Direct couriers to the relevant delivery/collection points/post room.
  • Answer telephone calls, take and relay messages.
  • Process Book in/out of all Visitors.
  • Maintain the reception area
  • Handle Contractors assignments and enquiries

This role is hands on and will require involvement in issues on an hourly/daily basis.
