We have a new and exciting opportunity for a vehicle technician to join an independently owned garage. They have built up an excellent reputation in the local area with their warm, friendly and professional service.

We are looking to speak to vehicle technicians who hold a valid MOT Licence, but for the right candidate they will put you through the correct training to become a qualified tester.

As a vehicle technician /MOT tester you will be involved in all aspects of maintenance and repairs of vehicles, carrying out routine servicing and diagnostic checks, warranty repairs, cambelt changes, gearboxes, fault finding issues and working to agreed timescales and completing relevant vehicle checks. You will also be heavily involved with MOT work on all makes and models or vehicles, all whilst ensuring the highest possible standards are achieved and maintained.

The working hours are Monday-Friday 8:00am-17:00 with no weekend work.

You will receive a full uniform and all PPE, but you will need to provide your own hand tools. You can also use the garage outside of working hours on your own vehicles when needed.

Key Duties
  • Carrying our Serving and inspection to all makes and models of vehicles
  • Conducting MOTs
  • Diagnostic work
  • Undertaking MOT preparation work on all makes and models of vehicles
  • Carrying out MOT repairs
  • Undertaking repairs on gearboxes, warranty repairs and similar
Key Requirements
  • 4 or more years experience
  • NVQ Level 3
  • A valid MOT Licence is desirable
  • Own tools
