We currently have an exciting opportunity for a UK Bid Writer & Team Manager to join us. You will take responsibility for leading and managing the current UK Bids and Tenders Team and drive high standards and successful Bid responses.We are offering this role on a Full Time permanent basis.

Are you experienced Bid Writer with team management background? Do you have knowledge of UK public and private sector procurement regulations? Are you ready for next step in your career? If the answer is “yes”, we would like to hear from you!

You will work Monday to Friday,core hours. You will be working from home and WILL be required to travel to office for weekly/bi-weekly team meetings, so ideally you will be based within 40mins drive from Avantor Head Office.

What you’ll do on a typical day?
  • Lead Bid Team and wider Avantor stakeholders to ensure deadlines are met, responsibilities are shared and understood, and the Team works together to succeed
  • Assist in the preparation and production of Bid Response documents to the highest standards of accuracy, showcasing Avantor and its offering
  • Maintain and update data held in the company knowledge base system
  • Support the Bid Team and Sales Teams in all aspects of responding to tenders, including liaising with customers and vendors as appropriate
What you’ll need to be successful at Avantor?
  • Be proficient in adhering to OJEU rules and regulations and a very strong understanding of Public and Private second bidding process
  • Experience with Multi Mullion-pound tenders
  • Can establish relationships and contact easily with the ability to motivate and inspire multi-disciple Bid Teams
  • Fluent English speaker with excellent technical writing skills and experience of generating compelling proposal content with excellent attention to detail.
