My client, an award-winning, innovative and people focused business, is seeking another 1st Line Support member to join the technical team.

It’s a very exciting time to join such a renowned and progressive business as they look to hire across departments due to a period of growth.

This role provides the opportunity to make a significant contribution within a knowledgeable, inspiring, enthusiastic and passionate group of people.

Working hours are Monday to Friday 09:00 -17:00, with occasional bank holiday cover.

  • £24,000 - £29,000 per annum depending on experience and qualifications.

Before you get TOO excited...here is what they’re looking for:

  • At least 2 years experience within a similar role.

  • GCSE (or equivalent) in English, Maths and a Science related Subject (an additional mechanical qualification desirable).

  • A solid understanding of fault finding, diagnostic tasks, thermodynamics, refrigerants and electro-mechanical control systems.

  • Ability to follow technical drawings and schematics.

  • IT literate and a helpful and personable telephone manner.

  • Desirable extras: understanding of plumbing and heating, customer service experience and a full UK driving licence.

As a 1st Line Technical Support, your goal will be to support the existing team by increasing capacity to respond to technical calls and emails from clients, end users and installers.

Other key duties include:

  • Build comprehensive product knowledge, in order to provide technical support for installation and post-installation issues through fault finding and diagnostics.

  • Handle customer service issues in a calm, non-confrontational and courteous manner.

  • Technical contribution on all commissioning for both residential and commercial applications as well as third-party agents and providing support Technical Sales Support Engineers.

  • Assist the Technical Manager and Research and Development Department in their activities including production of prototype models, appliance testing and product documentation.
