This is a unique opportunity to join the team at the beautiful Bowood Hotel, Spa and Golf Resort as Senior Sous Chef. We are looking for a highly experienced Senior / Sous Chef to support the Head Chef in running the Kitchens including our Shelburne Restaurant. As one of the finest hotels in Wiltshire, Bowood Hotel Spa & Golf Resort offers a contemporary and stylish stay within the grounds of an historic and beautiful country house, boasting stunning views across the Wiltshire countryside.

The elegant and atmospheric Shelburne Restaurant, with its views across parkland, is served by a state-of-the-art kitchen with the latest ovens and a team of highly skilled chefs. The menu, which changes on a regular basis, is modern and sophisticated. Many fresh ingredients like our vegetables and fruit are sourced from the Bowood Estate and the kitchen garden to create seasonal dishes with real depth of flavour, and an extensive accompanying wine list.

To be able to join the team here at Bowood, you will be an established Sous Chef, already working in a casual high end, or 2 Rosette restaurant environment. You will be expected to assist the Head Chef with the day to day management of the kitchen and take responsibility for supervising and developing the brigade. You will ensure the highest standards in the creation of accomplished classic and elegant dishes, producing consistent levels of finesse to exceed customer satisfaction.

Successful candidates will be: Currently working in a high-end, quality restaurant as a Senior Sous / Sous Chef Experienced with working with local quality ingredients A strong communicator, who enjoys being part of a successful and growing team Able to work with finesse and produce accomplished balanced dishes cooked with love Experienced in managing, motivating and developing a team to enhance their skill level Proven experience of food costing, menu planning, dietary needs and general kitchen management If you have a reputation built on impeccable service and the creation of beautiful dishes, a passion for quality ingredients with local provenance, mixed with great team working and a desire to develop in an iconic setting, we would love to hear from you.
