Stratton Mills is an employment business that provides Textile Personnel around the UK. We have a great opportunity for a Leather Sewing Machinists for our client based in Lutterworth. Successful candidates will be offered full-time shifts on a temporary to permanent basis.
  • Job: Sewing Machinist
  • Experience on lockstitch & overlock machine
  • Experience on working on clothing
  • Working hours: 8AM-5PM
  • Hourly rate: £9.00-£9.50
  • Previous experience in a similar role is essential
  • Immediate start
  • Location: Lutterworth
Duties For The Sewing Machinist Role
  • Follow an operating instruction for the particular job.
  • Complete requirements for sewing items using appropriate materials.
  • Report any faults or discrepancies to the Team Leader.
  • Quality Control checks.
  • Recording the number of items produced.
  • Perform general maintenance tasks on sewing machines to ensure their longevity.
Ideal Sewing Machinist Candidate
  • Good attention to detail
  • Excellent hand-eye co-ordination
  • Experience in working with targets
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • A minimum of 3 years of sewing experience gained within the industry.
