We are looking for a Team leader who will lead the team at our friendly care home- The Victoria Grand care home to ensure the smooth running of the service complies with relevant regulations and procedures. We are looking for a full-time Team leader to work as per the rota 36 hours per week including every other weekend. We are interested in staff who will go the extra mile to put smiles on residents’ faces and good at working with other team colleagues.
- Provide compassionate and personalized care to individuals in the care home
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and assisting to the toilet.
- Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals
- Serve meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences –
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry, cleaning, and organizing
- Provide companionship and engage in meaningful conversations with clients
- Monitor and report any changes in clients’ physical or mental health to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Assist with mobility and transfers as needed - Follow care plans and instructions provided by healthcare professionals and update care plans and risk assessments as and when needed
- Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for clients
- Shifts include 8am-2pm and 2pm 8pm or 8am to 8pm and every other weekend.
Person specification
- To build good working relationships within the team.
- Work on the floor and lead a team of around 2 or 3 staff and be a role model to your team.
- Experience of medication administration.
- Experience of ordering and receiving medications into the care home.
- Share of on-call responsibilities as part of the Team leader’s role
- Be part of the management team to ensure continuity of information, standards and policies are effectively implemented.
- Communicating clearly and effectively with the staff team, families and other professionals to ensure that the residents receive the best possible provision of care
- Ensuring that staff receive regular supervision and adhere to the policies and procedures.
- Minimum two years expierance in social care.
- NVQ Level 3/Diploma in Adult Workforce Level 3 or willing to work towards it.
- Excellent communication skills
- Good attention to detail.
- Commitment to own professional and personal development.

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £13.00 per hour
